Off the peg spinnakers and cruising chutes by telephone.
Our standard range includes cruising chutes and spinnakers for the following range of yachts: Baltic, Beneteau, Dehler, Etap, Feeling, Gibsea, Hallberg-Rassy, Moody, Sadler, swan, Westerly, to name but a few. With many more measurements on file we can make a sail to any requirement you may have.
1.TRI-RADIAL (RACER & CRUISER/RACER SPECIFATION)
This has become universally accepted as the ultimate construction method for a low stretch, high performance, Spinnaker. Our Tri-Radial is cut with stress orientated Clew panels. This basically means that the panels are cut to follow the lines of maximum stress that radiates from the clew, and eliminates clew twist and unfair centre shape so often seen when close reaching, and gives a slightly sabre shaped panel when on a flat plane. As a result of our commitment to advanced CAD our centre panels are now vertically orientated for even greater stability. The sail is finished of with sail numbers and a turtle bag. External Clew rings are also available by request.
2. RADIAL HEAD (CRUISING SPECIFICATION)
This gives a very good all-round performance. The sail is cut with individually shaped head panels which are Threadline orientated. This ensures equal bias at each seam and gives a very smooth and, therefore, efficient aerofoil. Head and Clews are finished with load absorbing laminated strengthening patches fitted with internal hydraulically pressed rings. The sail comes with a sail bag and sail no’s and external Clew rings can be fitted at a small extra charge.
The Poleless Cruising Spinnaker is a sail that is a useful addition to any Cruising Yacht’s sail wardrobe, and may be set on any point between close reaching and a square run.
Specification: Cruiser Racer: This is to our Tri Radial panel layout. The details are generally as per the Tri Radial Spinnaker specification with the area being approximately 90% of the full IOR size.
Popular: This is based on our Radial Head Spinnaker specification and again the resultant area is approximately 90% of the full IOR size. The Nylon we use is Ripstop Nylon 51 or 68 Grm SQ M as required (this corresponds to either 1.2 or 1.5 US oz). The sails are finished with 6 oz (US) heavy duty Luff Tape, 4 oz (US) Leech and Foot Tapes, specially laminated load basorbing Tack and Clew Patches, Tackstop Double Sewn, and bag.
Logos to a Company or personal specification can be fitted as an extra to any of our Cruising Chutes or Spinnakers.
We are able to supply a Squeezer as a useful extra to make handling easier for short handed crews, this is priced as an extra.
As part of our policy of offering maximum choice we offer the following colours in either one of our standard combinations or by prior arrangement to your own layout. The colours available are: white, light blue, dark blue, orange, yellow, black, purple, green and pink.
